Senz° was developed in 2006 by 3 Dutch students – Gerwin Hoogendoorn, Gerard Kool and Philip Hess – from Delft’s Technical University who were frustrated by umbrellas that kept blowing inside out and ending up – far too quickly – in the rubbish bin. Did you know that over 1 billion umbrellas are thrown away every year? Sustainability was therefore one of the most important principles behind senz°. A strong umbrella can last for years, or perhaps even for an entire lifetime. By no longer viewing an umbrella as a throwaway product, you can make a statement against pollution. And that’s precisely what is needed in this day and age.
Senz° has reinvented the umbrella to your advantage. The unique senz° design has been tested in a wind tunnel to ensure that your stormumbrella can withstand heavy storms. Thanks to its asymmetrical shape, the senz° umbrella simply floats through any storm. It resists the wind’s attempts to turn it inside out, and is lightweight to carry, partly due to its comfortable and ergonomic handle. A senz° strom umbrella also offers you a far better view compared to a normal umbrella. Its points of the senz° are covered with Eyesavers in order to protect your own eyes and those of people around you. What’s more, the fabric of the senz° stormumbrella is quick to dry and offers 50+-UV sun protection.
